What I am about to write has to do with the complacency being displayed by people today towards the soon coming event of our Lord Jesus Christ rapturing His Church, (1Thes4:15-18) to escape the advent of the great tribulation. The negative result of this worldwide complacency will be felt very,very soon simply because people in general are choosing to ignore the signs of the times as alluded to by Jesus in the gospel of Matt16:3 in a prophetic setting. I would like to add at this point that although volumes have been written about biblical prophecy the reality is that what I am about to write is about to take place. This warning is not being written to create a sense of "doomsday panic" it's being written to create a sense of urgency in making the world aware of what is about to take place.

Complacency will be directly linked to the blessings we have abused as a nation,which we have taken for granted and as a result have become spiritually blinded resulting in spiritual apostasy and greed. We have become dependent on our own selfish resources, selfish guile and materialistic wisdom to survive; we have ignored God's ways and the ensuing result has been totally catastrophic and morally devastating. This selfish greed syndrome has molded us into a self serving, self sufficient nation that has created a horrifying atmosphere wherein by our own actions and choices seem to suggest we no longer need God to resolve our problems.

Technology today, computer-websites, facebook,myspace and the internet allows us to find solutions to practically every problem we are faced with by simply accessing specific websites .Television commercials with their powerful subliminal messages cater to our material greed wherein luxurious houses, designer clothing and senseless pleasures suddenly become "necessities" in our lives. This has created a sickening dependence on glorified technology for solutions to life's problems inadvertently rendering God useless and meaningless.

As a nation it seems we no longer have to apply the discipline of praying to God and waiting patiently for answers, it seems that all we need to do is simply click on to the correct website and presto, the solution pops right up. In a very subtle way God has been replaced by these convenient websites.

In The prophetic book of revelations Jesus alludes to this problem, ( Rev 3:17 ). He pointed out to the church at Laodicea that they had become so rich and self sufficient that they felt they were in need of nothing. This conclusion was arrived at because they had through their self sufficient and powerful " ministries" developed programs, masterminded activities and achieved astounding positive results,their success and benevolence was deserving of the highest praise BUT, Jesus pointed out to them that they were, despite their accomplishments, indeed wretched. He pointed out to them that they did all of these good works only to prove that they were self- sufficient and therefore were not in need of anything, they gave the glory to themselves. In the book of Matt 7:22 Jesus said, "..many will say ..we prophesied in your name..cast out devils..done many wonderful works...then I will say I never knew you depart from me ye workers of iniquity." Jesus intimated that despite their good works they were indeed found wanting--WHY ? because they had left their" FIRST LOVE".

In the book of Judges chapter 7, God shows He abhors self sufficiency and honors dependency on HIM, He refuses to honor self reliance because this flaw breeds complacency which leads to spiritual apostasy. Gideon, in this book is asked by God to recruit 32,000 men to go to war,God initially allowed Gideon the freedom to exercise his own judgement in recruiting this number of men. In this exercise Gideon used his own criteria, his own standards to see if these men qualified for the job. God, being omniscient knew that these recruits of 32,000 were going to be eventually reduced to a paltry figure of 300. God had a reason for not revealing this fact to Gideon up front, God knew that if Gideon knew this before, up front,this knowledge would have discouraged him and probably would have stopped him from the process of recruiting anyone.

What God did was, He allowed Gideon to use his, (Gideon's) standards in recruiting these men and, then eventually reveal to him what He, (God), was looking for in the hearts of these men.He needed Gideon to experience this revelation for himself. Let us now examine what happened. Gideon, after training these men thought he was ready to go to war, Gideon had amassed 32,000 willing, strong men to go to war, he had consumed a lot of time in recruiting , interviewing and training these men . God advised him that this 32,000 were too many, they were self seeking and would only seek glory for themselves. Their hearts were wrong and HE, (GOD), was not going to allow this. God says in 1 Samuel 16:7 "...for the Lord sees not as man sees...man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the HEART."

God then instructed Gideon to make the first cut. Gideon's first criteria for making the first cut was FEAR , he instructed those who were FEARFUL to go home, lo and behold from this great army of 32,000, (22,000) men decided they had too much to lose in their personal lives, they became FEARFUL, they decided to go home.

Gideon after this purge of the cowards he had recruited had 10,000 brave,willing,courageous and fearless men left. These qualities by secular standards pointed to a strong team, they were supportive of each other, they were not afraid, they were intelligent, courageous, strong and yes, they were fearless. Gideon, at this point from a secular perspective could not ask for more, this to Gideon was his dream team, this was his, "GIDEON'S DREAMTEAM, yes he was ready this time" to go to war. BUT, my friends guess what, GOD instructed Gideon to make another cut of significance.

Gideon was flabbergasted, he thought his DREAMTEAM was IT, this DREAMTEAM of 10,000 was reduced to a paltry figure of 300. This means 9,700 were cut from Gideon's deamteam, what happened !! ---These 300 reflected what GOD wanted and demanded , dependence on HIM as the only source for victory. This small group had the same qualities as the 9,700 that were cut and sent home. The big difference was, this small group of 300 men, (which became "GOD'S DREAMTEAM"), decided that despite their commendable qualities and talents, they were going to be subjected to GOD in humility; they were going to depend on GOD for direction and victory, not trusting their own resources, strengths and talents.

This delicate lesson is also for today's world. We have become too complacent in our own abilities and strengths to survive in problematic times. We resort to our own savvy and schemes in finding loopholes in our system to survive rather than trusting in God for direction in our lives. We have become too prideful in pursuing our own selfish goals. We have become too complacent and therefore our ears have become deaf to the prophetic warnings as to the signs of the times. So far, the spiritual crippling effect of complacency has been shown.

The Spirit of God is saying at this point , "Wake up from your slumber before it's too late". The Spirit of God is revealing that this complacency is being used by Satan to blind the eyes of the people. This complacency is being used in setting up the people to become "easy pickings" for the mark of the beast, causing them to miss the rapture of the church and be "left behind."

The generation of Noah and Lot were "left behind" because they did not heed to the warnings. They went about the daily activities of their lives, they conducted business as usual, they did everything concerning selfish accomplishments and they became complacent with their lifestyles. The result was judgement, ( Luke 17:26-29). It is to be noted that only those heeding the warnings of Noah and Lot escaped the judgement. The Spirit of God says in Rev 12:12 "....woe to the inhabitants of the earth...the devil is come down unto you having great wrath...",.

My friends, if you are keeping up with current world news PLEASE take heed to this warning. Israel, God's timepiece is about to sign the 7 year Peace Treaty as alluded to in the book of Daniel 9:27. This current complacency shows that mankind has made themselves very much available to receive the mark of the beast because they have made their stomachs and material greed their gods. In order to survive they will most likely willingly accept this treacherous mark, they will become victims of their own spiritual blindness and greed.

The Spirit of God says in Rev 13:16-17..."...no man might buy and sell except he has that mark ..." if any should receive this mark God says BEWARE!! in Rev 14:9-10 God says.." if any man receives this mark..the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God..." in verse 11 the Spirit of God says "..the smoke of their torment they will have no rest..whosoever receiveth this mark." Those left behind will face the full wrath of God's judgement through the GREAT TRIBULATION which will begin when the 7 year Peace Treaty is signed.

This historical moment will be orchestrated by the political genius of anti-christ. In the book of Rev 6:2 this anti-christ on the white horse will at the beginning initiate a period of seeming peace, through his policies he will make great political sense by creating a new economic world order, this will be handled with supreme wisdom and savvy. He will be very much involved along with his government and international allies in breaking down religious barriers, creating a healing sense of unity among the nations of the world. The nations will warm to his astute leadership greatly enhanced by his humanistic sense of justice and fair play.

World leaders will find it amazingly easy to follow him because of his polished charisma, he will indeed be considered by many as a political and religious messiah, his policies will be founded on practical and sound assessment of the world's spiritual and economic problems. My friends, be warned, at the middle of the 7 year Treaty he will renege on his earlier promises and then all hell is going to break loose. Friends, the rest of prophecy will take care of itself by God's timing, this exhortation is enough to warn you of the impending dangers.

The Spirit of God is warning again to awake from the slumber of complacency." Stir yourselves up, challenge yourselves, heed yourselves to this warning, live for Jesus Christ, reach out to all mankind. Tell them about the Good News, tell them about His shed Blood, tell them that the precious Name of Jesus is the only name that can bring salvation." If you do this you will be giving them an opportunity to be a part of the rapture of HIS CHURCH which precedes the advent of the "great tribulation" about to take place.

If you do not have a personal relationship with JESUS CHRIST repeat this prayer of salvation. " Lord Jesus, thank You for this appointed time in history, thanks for leading me to this article which has led me to acknowledge it's warning, I REPENT OF MY SINS, fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I may not only confess You as Lord and Saviour but through the power of your Holy Spirit I will be transformed into a messenger of your Good News, a messenger of your love, mercy and grace. Make my life, a changed life, a living testimony of Your eternal love.

I thank You Lord Jesus that through Your Blood which was shed at Calvary my sins have been washed clean, thank you Lord Jesus in your precious Name.."

Now my friend, join yourself to a bible based church, study His Word, become a living witness, bring others to know Jesus Christ before it's too late. Remember,indeed that complacency kills.
